Cooking for dummies…and when I say dummies…I mean men.
Sorry guys, I don’t mean it in a negative way at all.
In fact, I mean keep it basic. It doesn’t have to be extravagant.
So, just to clarify, I am not attacking your brain smarts.
I want to let you know, as a guy, that I enjoy the foods that I eat without the hard labor of making my food taste good or it being “healthy.”
I recently recorded an episode on my podcast, Take Control Radio, about the subject.
The basics: how to start, tips on how to cook, and what to cook.
Go give it a listen here: https://soundcloud.com/user-798191510/episode-12-how-to-start-cooking
But let’s talk about cooking. In the episode I related cooking to learning how to squat. This biggest issue men have, I know this, because I have been there, is how frustrating it can be.
So, think about it like learning how to squat. Just like learning the mechanics, slowly adding weight to the movement, you have to learn the basics of cooking. Once you do that, you get freaking strong, or in the case of cooking, you get really good at it, and you might even enjoy it.
How did I learn to cook? I am a visual learner, so I hopped on YouTube and watched my favorite bodybuilders make their meals. I just did what they did and slowly evolved my way of cooking. I highly recommend you do this. Go find your favorite bodybuilder, fitness model, and athlete and do what they do. Simple.
And don’t forget the most important part. If you add your new found cooking skills to your exercise program you potentially get abs. Once you get abs, you attract the opposite sex. Oh, and don’t forget you know how to cook. So you have abs and you know how to cook? Dude! You are the perfect package and will reap the benefits of countless amounts of dates.
You are right…I’m not.
Learn to cook man! It will be worth it for so many reasons.
